Blepharoplasty

Eyelid surgery, or blepharoplasty, is designed to remove excess skin and muscle from the upper and lower eyelids. Excessive skin and fat accumulation in the upper and lower eyelids are often the first signs of aging and may benefit from reduction of excess skin through fine incisions carefully placed in the natural folds of your eyelid. The eyebrows may also benefit by being repositioned to help restore that youthful, radiant look to your face.

The procedure can correct drooping upper lids that tend to sag with time and the puffy bags below the eyes. The procedure usually takes about one hour and may be performed in the office using local anesthesia. Stitches can be removed after three or four days.
